Learning Commons Vision:
The Lawton Chiles Middle Academy Learning Commons believes every student should have the skills and knowledge to become 21st Century learners and globally aware citizens. Information Literacy instruction will provide the students with the research skills and the resources necessary to enhance their critical thinking and inquiry-based learning skills.
In association with the IB Middle Years Programme, students understand they will be life-long participants in our global community. By learning an appreciation of world literature and various technological resources, students become more globally aware both culturally and economically and will understand their responsibilities of becoming a 21st Century global citizen.
