A Message from Mr. Messier and Ms. Bailey

We’ve made it through the first week of school and we could not be more proud of our students and staff! For some, this week marked the first time back in school since March 2020. We are so excited to welcome over 700 LSE Superstars, every day.

We value family-school partnerships and we thank you in advance for your continued support, understanding, and trust as we navigate a new school year! We welcome your feedback. Please contact us with any comments, questions, or concerns.

Stronger Together,

Mr. Messier and Ms. Bailey

If you have trouble in accessing HAC, please email the following account:

mystudent@carrollk12.org

The Home Access Center:

https://mystudent.carrollk12.org/HomeAccess

Use the Home Access Center to:

1. Find your student's teacher

2. Find your student's email address and password (will be the same from last year - and can be found on the Registration Tab of the Home Access Center)

3. Access your 3rd-5th grade student's assignments and grades

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS

Linton Springs is looking for parents interested in coaching a book battle team. Teams would meet once a month at a place of your choice. Teams can meet in person or virtually. Please see the CCPL website for full information: https://library.carr.org/programs/BoB.asp. The plan right now is to have the battle in person, but if the need arises CCPL will do the event virtually. The official book lists are also on their website: https://library.carr.org/programs/docs/BoB_Elementary.pdf. The CCPL has four parent and coach information sessions being held via Zoom and in person this fall.

Email Tally Myers at tcmyers@carrollk12.org if you are interested in coaching a team.

CUSTODY

The school must remain neutral in situations where parents are separated, divorced or do not live in the same household. Each parent has specific legal rights in regard to school issues. A telephone call, note or letter from a parent or attorney is not sufficient to establish custody or restrict contact. An official court order is required to establish custody. A copy of the most recent custody order should be on file at the school. When changes occur, please be sure to notify the school and provide a copy of the most recent court order.
