Thank you to all families who came out to support Literacy Night! We would like to get your feedback. We will use your feedback as we plan next year's event! Thank you for helping to create a school we all LOVE! ~ Principal Tucker
Book Character Dress Up Day Details
On Friday, October 28th, we will be participating in a Book Character Dress Up day & United Way Fundraiser. Students may pay $1 and dress up as their favorite book character. As we do each year, money collected will be donated to the United Way campaign. We are asking students to bring the book from their character to school on that day.
Unfortunately, full face make-up, masks, or props are not allowed. We look forward to seeing students dressed as their favorite book character!
The Fall Book Fair has arrived! Families may shop with their child(ren) during the class shopping time or on Wednesday, October 19 and Thursday, October 20 from 1:00-4:00 during the early release afternoons. If your child is going to shop during their class time you may send in cash or use the eWallet. To put money on an eWallet, go to the link below, scroll down to the eWallet box and sign up for an account. You can print out the voucher, or send a note that your child has money on the eWallet. Please contact the library with any questions at beth.martinez@gcpsk12.org.
You Are Invited to Participate in the FDES STEM Fair!
The STEM Fair is gearing up! The Fort Daniel STEM fair will take place on Wednesday, December 14th, and the first deadline is to submit your Intent to Partcipate by October 24th. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is a great way to enrich our students' learning at home and at school. Please check your student's Friday Folder for a flyer with more information!
The local winners of the STEM Fair at Fort Daniel will move on to compete at the County STEM Fair and will receive a Lego set. We can't wait to see what our students create!
