Reflection Corner: The Gift of the Saints
ALL SAINTS’ DAY announces a time of reflection and prayer with the Saints. Lumen Gentium states that holiness is not a gift reserved for a few. We can all aspire to become a saint, because it is a goal within our capacity. Hence, holiness excludes no one; it is for all: teachers, students, parents, doctors, principals. priests, nuns, basketball players, etc. Saints are friends of Jesus who know how to live as virtuous human beings awaiting for our final resurrection.
REFLECTION: In remembering the Saints, let us reflect on what it means to be human. Can we grow in our awareness that we can become saints by becoming truly human called to bring healing and mercy to all and lean on to the Giver of Life?
