Leveled Reading Materials
For grades 2-6
What is included?
WSWHE BOCES MultiMedia Services recently revamped our leveled reading collection. After researching different options, we went with Scholastic TRIO leveled reading books.
Now your whole class can participate in learning about a single Science, Social Studies, or Language Arts topic as they develop strategic reading skills. Scholastic TRIO is a leveled-reading collection that engages students at THREE levels of reading ability — below-level, on-level and above-level — all in the SAME content area topic. You choose the topic, we provide the leveled text and instruction.
Scholastic Trio Is:
• CROSS-CURRICULAR: Themes meet critical content-area standards for:
Language Arts, Science & Social Studies.
• INCLUSIVE: Three levels of books on each topic meet the needs of today's diverse classrooms.
• EASY: Step-by-step teaching materials virtually eliminate planning and prep time, a great time-saver for busy teachers.
• FULLY-LEVELED: Each book is scored by Lexile®, guided reading and DRA levels so you can match every student to a "just right" book. Click here for a helpful leveling guide (PDF).
• ENGAGING: Authentic literature on high-interest topics is included—classics, award winners, and well-known authors.
• VERSATILE: Blackline master activities help teachers meet classroom accountability requirements and extend classroom learning to homes.
