Read for the House
Ronald McDonald Assembly
The Read for the House Program is a service-learning project that raises funds to support the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House through partnerships with local schools. In addition to helping the children and families of the House, the program promotes the value of community service, encourages students to read, and benefits the participating schools with a rebate of 10% of funds raised going back to the school. Last year over 5,000 students from 35 schools in the Philadelphia area participated by collecting pledges for their reading minutes during the month of February, raising over $106,000!
