Testing Reminders
With end of year testing scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 30th, here are a few reminders to help students be successful:
1. Students should charge their laptops each night prior to testing and ensure it is in good working condition. It is recommended that students bring their charger on test days.
2. Other than permitted calculators, students are not allowed to use or have in their possession cell phones or any other electronic recording, listening, scanning, communication, or photographic devices (e.g., smart watches, smart pens) at any time during testing, including breaks. It is recommended that these devices be left at home; however, devices brought to school will be collected by the test administrator.
3. Students will want to eat a healthy breakfast. The brain needs the energy from food to work efficiently, and it aids in increased focus and attention. Additionally, all students should come to school rested and on time.
4. Parents should encourage their child to do the best work possible. It is important to openly discuss the test in a positive way with your child. Ask your child how they have prepared for the test, and how you can help them to prepare. Reassure them by telling them that you are proud of their effort.

Memorial Day
Library Updates
With the closing of the school, Trexler's media center is in the process of reconciling materials that have been issued to students throughout the school year. Please see the information below regarding our most frequently used materials.
Computers and Computer Chargers
Following testing, students will need to return their 1:1 device and charger that was issued earlier in the school year. Often times, computer chargers are misplaced or lost; however, students are responsible for the return of the charger that was checked out to them. Students that are unable to return their laptop charger will be responsible for the cost of a replacement, which is $16.50.
Library Books/Materials
Overdue notices for library books/materials are being emailed daily to homeroom and ELA teachers. Students are responsible for any lost and/or damaged library books/materials checked out to them, and the charge for the replacement is located on the overdue notices.
Please note that rising 9th graders' overdue materials, including laptop chargers, will transfer with them to their new high schools.
