Enroll online for PK-12

Students new to Garland ISD may enroll online for the upcoming school year through Skyward, our student information system. Visit our website for details about required enrollment documents and how to enroll using Skyward. Call (972) 494-8253 for assistance with enrollment.


Choice of School: Prekindergarten and Kindergarten

The Choice of School period for Pre-K and K is March 24, 2021- May 28, 2021. Families can submit their school of choice during this period. For current GISD students, parents may complete their Choice of School form online on or before the deadline. Students who are new to GISD will complete the Choice of School form as part of the enrollment process. Visit our website for additional details.

Virtual Parent University

Join us for our monthly virtual Parent University chats via Facebook Live. Our Safety and Security Parent University is scheduled for March 23 (English) and March 25 (Spanish) at 7:00 pm. A Vietnamese interpretation of the FB Parent University will be posted the following week.

Hazel Health Webinar

Join us and Hazel Health for the "Ask a Doctor" sessions each Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Parents will learn about current health topics and be able to ask questions to the Hazel Health pediatric team. Follow this link to register for the next webinar.

Free Student Health Services Available

All Garland ISD students now have access to same-day doctor visits from school or from home through our partner Hazel Health. Sign up for this free virtual service today!


Student Nutrition Services

Garland ISD Student Nutrition Services is excited to be able to offer free meals to all children 18 years of age and younger. All face-to-face learners can now receive daily cafeteria meals at no cost, while remote learners can pick up free curbside meals twice a week. Children younger than school age and any non-GISD students who live in Garland, Rowlett and Sachse can also receive free curbside meals. For distribution locations, times and procedures, please visit our Curbside Meals webpage.


Free COVID-19 Testing for GISD Students, Staff & Families

Ayman Care is offering all Garland ISD students, staff and families free COVID-19 testing at two locations. Appointments are available but not necessary. If possible, please bring a photo ID or a copy of an insurance card. Visit the COVID-19 testing locations webpage for details and additional testing sites.

COVID-19 Cases by Location

GISD is committed to transparency as we communicate during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to keep our families, staff and community informed, the COVID-19 Cases by Location webpage shows the number of lab-confirmed cases for staff and remote and face-to-face learners.
