The “New Jersey Week of Respect” will be celebrated during the first week of October. The Anti-Bullying Bills of Rights sets aside the first week of October every year to promote positive character education and allow for activities designed to prevent harassment, intimidation, and bullying. Students will be encouraged to come together and promote school spirit and positive peer interactions.
Monday, October 1: National “Stomp Out Bullying” day- Wear blue to pledge that we stomp out bullying! http://www.stompoutbullying.org/
Tuesday, October 2: Show that everyone counts by wearing a jersey or shirt that has a number on it.
Wednesday, October 3: Be a buddy and “Sock it to Bullying” by wearing crazy socks.
Thursday, October 4: “No Drama Pajama Day” - Put name calling to bed by wearing pajamas to school (No slippers please).
Friday, October 5: Show school spirit and unite by wearing the school color and/or spirit wear.
Students and staff are all encouraged to participate!

9/25 - George School Spirit Day and our first Monthly Family Night (no homework)
Tuesday night is also our first Family Night. Once a month the entire school will have no homework so that you can spend a little more time together as a family. Each Family Night will have a theme. In honor of all our wonderful Literacy work we have been doing, our first George School Family Night will be themed "Share a Good Book." Enjoy your time together and we would love to hear about the books you shared.
Thank you Fifth Grade Peer Pals for helping with Morning Line Up and for being good Role Models!
Parents: We need your thoughts on Math!
