Begin Earning Scholarships in 9th grade through

Rather than waiting until the end of high school to earn scholarships, enables students to earn scholarships throughout high school, starting as early as 9th grade, for doing all the things that best prepare them to succeed, whether that’s getting good grades, volunteering in the community or joining an extracurricular. AFS BP Global STEM Academies

Full scholarships to study abroad for 4 weeks of the summer in Brazil, Egypt, India and the US. Scholarship winners will enrich their STEM knowledge and skills through interactive, hands-on curriculum, while developing critical global competencies, including problem solving, analytical skills, intercultural understanding, and the ability to build bridges across cultures.

This opportunity allows students to tour campus and learn about their career interests through hands-on activities. There is still room at the following events:

  • Human and Protective Services-Friday, October 26th
  • Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology-November 2nd
  • Liberal Arts Transfer-Friday, November 9th

Students ready to apply can come to campus for help completing their application. Staff will be available to answer questions. No registration required! Next Madison session is Tuesday, November 13th from 3-6pm.

Many universities are holding campus visit events this month. A visit is one of the best ways to see if a college is a good fit for you. Don't miss out - carpool w/ a friend, visit a LHS alumni, work a visit into a family vacation.

SENIORS & School Email

Seniors: Do not use school email for ANY matters related to life after high school.

Examples: college apps, parchment account, ACT, FAFSA

**School Email becomes inaccessible to graduates 2 wks after graduation

Wrap up your college applications NOW!! At a minimum, colleges need the following:

11th & 12th Grade College Bound Athletes & NCAA

Students who plan to participate in Division I or II collegiate athletics during college, must complete an NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse form. Students should register at the end of their junior year, work with their counselor and coach.
