From School Administration
As the month of June approaches, I want to take a moment to thank the entire school community for the continuous support, encouragement, and flexibility throughout the course of this incredibly unique school year. The Clemens Crossing Elementary School staff and I could not have implemented an effective and engaging school year without this unconditional support. We are down to a little less than a month of school, but we have many experiences and learning still remains to be accomplished. Ending strong is incredibly important! Some teachers have reported to me that students are coming to school or Google Meets late or not putting forth their best effort on assignments. To use a sports analogy: It’s the final 2 minutes in the 4th quarter of a football game. You have gone 95 yards from one end of the field to the other in a successful hard-fought drive. You need a touchdown to win the game and are within five yards of that goal line. With five yards to go, you do not want to fumble the ball because it could result in a loss! Persist with the game plan, execute until the end, and get that touchdown to win the game. Please talk to your child to encourage him/her to persist all the way until the clock runs out of time on June 15. Reinforce the importance of getting a good night's sleep, maintaining strong work-study habits, the importance of engaging in learning, and the need to be responsible with completing assignments. I am confident our students will continue to persist in learning through the last day of school in June.
