The Leader in Me - Reviewing the 7 Habits
What are we learning about in 6th grade?
In Social Studies, we will begin studying and learning about the culture of Asia. Students will learn about the geography, resources, and using maps and globes to identify different countries. Also, we will be learning about the government, the way people live, languages, climate, and their educational system!

An important message from our nurse!
All students, entering 7th grade in Texas, must have the state-required immunizations listed below:
· Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTaP/DTP/DT/Td/Tdap) - if not given in the last 5 years
· Meningococcal - State law requires documentation of the specific type of meningococcal vaccine (Menactra, MCV4, Menveo or MenACWY) given on or after the 10th birthday
There will be several reminders going home to all parents of current 6th graders between now and the end of the school year. As we get closer to the end of the year, reminders will ONLY be sent to those who have NOT sent in proof of those immunizations.
Updated shot records can be turned in to your child’s teacher until May 23. Once shot records are turned in, you will be able to see the update in Skyward.
Please remember, students going into 7th grade, without the needed immunizations, will not be able to start class. Please let me know if you have any questions.
