Shepaug Summer Reading 2018
One Book / One School / One Community
Summer Assignment for Grades 6 through 12
- Read and discuss "Refugee" with your family. Think about questions you would like to ask the author, Alan Gratz, when he visits Shepaug on September 25th. Here is a guide that may spark your discussion.
- Read at least one additional book of your own choosing. Take brief notes (title, author, setting, theme) for your own use in responding to a reading prompt at the beginning of the school year.
- Special note: If you read three books by Alan Gratz over the summer, you will be invited to a special conversation with the author on September 25!
- Grades 6 - 8: Complete the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge log and turn it in on the first day of school.
