A message from the Guidance Director, Mrs. Sheriff
Dear Eagle Students and Families,
Never in any of our minds did we think that this school year would end quite like this. We sure do miss the busyness of our office with student and parent visitors. All of us in the Guidance Department hope that you are safe and well, and we are very much looking forward to the day when Sandburg opens back up again!
As we navigate through the next few weeks, please know that our counselors, social workers, deans, school pyschologists and student assistance coordinator are here to answer your questions and offer support in any way that we can. Please use the Guidance Directory for our email addresses and phone extensions. This newsletter can be used as a resource to help answer common questions that have come our way related to standardized testing, grade-level specific post-high school planning items, and tips to manage anxiety during this difficult time. Items specifically related to the Class of 2020 and their end of year events will be communicated directly from Dr. Tyrrell very soon.
We hope that you and your family continue to be safe and well!
Go Eagles!Meredith L. Sheriff
