Possibilities with Padlet
Explore the different ways you can use Padlet.
What is Padlet?
Padlet is a virtual bulletin board where any user with the link can post text comments, record audio, add a hyperlink, photo or document. There are many editing and organization options that make Padlet such a versatile website for student learning and discussion.
Posting on Padlet
After creating an account, click "Create new Padlet" in the top right corner while logged into your account. Double-click anywhere on your page to post a comment (see comment box above).
Settings in Padlet
Click the gear icon to change the title, wallpaper, sharing and privacy settings. You can also personalize the link to your Padlet.
Changing the Layout
Depending on how you would like to use Padlet, it may be helpful to change the layout. It is automatically set on "freeform" where students can post anywhere on the wall.
How to use Padlet:
- A class portfolio to share with parents after field trips, special activities, or at the end of the year.
- Bookmark your favorite sites compile hyperlinks to your favorite websites and add reminders. Post a QR Code of the Padlet in your classroom, or add the link to your webpage.
- Sorting pictures create categories and add pictures for students to sort while using your SMARTBoard.
- Class discussion use as a brainstorming activity or for posting questions/comments after instruction or reading a passage
- Showcase student work students post online creations to a Padlet where you and the students can easily view and provide feedback.
Ways to Share
Click the "Share/export" button to reveal the many ways you can share your Padlet.
Sharing via QR Code
It automatically generates a QR code for students to access the Padlet by using a QR code reader.
