Welcome to My Administrative Portfolio
Administrative Experience
Thank you for stopping by. Although education seems to be ever-changing, I am energetic and enthusiastic about being proactive and continuing to ensure student success. I hold a Master’s Degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and possess certifications for Texas principal, school counselor and teacher. I believe that my supervisory experience, instructional background, public relations and interpersonal skills, and training bring an individualized perspective to the role of principal. I have recently been named TEPSA-Region 4 Assistant Principal of the Year!
I have experience working with an array of students, such as at-risk, special populations, discipline management, and parent/community involvement. My career as an Assistant Principal began on a campus that was academically unacceptable. Immediately, I began to work collaboratively with the faculty, staff, students, parents, community members to build school pride, as well as, remain positive that our students would meet requirements that were expected of them. This also included implementing student focused curriculum strategies and building student and teacher capacity. The campus exceeded these expectations by implementing several initiatives and received a met standard rating prior to my departure. These same experiences provide me with a smooth transition as an instructional leaders for any campus. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Master Schedule Planning Workshop with Team Leads
- Curriculum planning
- Master scheduling
Team leaders participated in a master scheduling workshop prior to the end of the school year. Team leaders visited three neighboring school districts looking at scheduling, interventions, conferences, and professional learning communities (PLC). The committee then listed pros and cons of the various schedules to help build the campus master schedule. This assisted in planning professional development for our teachers over the summer, based on the schedule and their assignments.
