Life At Ambleside
I Am, I Can, I Ought, I Will
From The Desk of Mrs. Flora
-Romans 15:13
I hope the pictures above capture the pure joy the students were feeling as they played together in the leaves. It was a precious moment filled with the simplicity of fallen leaves and radiant smiles. There are moments everyday were we have the privilege of seeing joy on your children's faces. Thank you for the honor of teaching your children.
Ambleside participated in #GivingTuesday this year and we raised over $20,000 before our match. We are waiting to hear what was matched and will share with each of you once we know. Thank you for your generosity in supporting Ambleside.
Next week is exam week for 1st-12th grade. Exam week here is unlike exam weeks we experienced when we were students. Exam week is not approached with dread or stress instead it is a time for teachers to get a snapshot of of the child's inner mind where comprehension and understanding take root. Each day students will be dismissed at noon and should spend this extra time enjoying family and friends not trying to review or cram. Your child's exam will go home the following Friday December 14th for you to view.
Enjoy your weekend and take joy in the small moments.
Every Blessing,
Mrs. Flora

Update on Outreach
Ambleside has filled the box for "Christmas in Acuna" with toys that will be given out to families in Acuna next weekend by Blessed 2 Bless ministries
Thank you for having a heart for your community and beyond. Part of Ambleside's mission is to educate children to play a role in serving their in their community.
I'm new, what is Candlelight and what is cookies and caroling?
The day after candlelight students go to local places to carol and give cookies. Some of the places students carol are MHMR, Regency House, The Fire Station, and nursing homes. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve and bring joy to those in our community and give to them before we take for ourselves. We encourage students to wear Christmas attire on this day, they do not have to wear their uniforms on December 21st.
To be able to serve cookies at Candlelight, to give cookies during caroling and to have cookies for students to enjoy before they leave for Christmas break we ask each family to send three dozen homemade cookies on December 18th. Cookies will be packed in Christmas tins that have been donated.
