A1 Turtles Update

Week 28 -March 11th

This Week...

The children had a fun and messy time studying States of Matter (solids, liquids, and gas) in Science. We made Oobleck to study the properties of matter. We are working on place value in math. Encourage your children to read the clock for you. We focused on the hour and 1/2 hour. In social studies, we are continuing to learn all about Presidents and American symbols. Please continue to encourage your kids to practice their math facts and read. They can make flash cards, play games with numbers or enjoy a math app. I have included the link about our current math topic. We had a fun and artsy time making our next clay project. A big thank you to our parent helpers for getting messy with us during clay. Thank you so much for all of your support in and out of the classroom. I hope you have an excellent week :)

Let's tie our shoes!

It is a great time to teach your children how to tie their shoes if they are wearing laces to school. Kids are tripping over their laces. I really don't want them to get hurt. Here is a great video on teaching how to tie shoes. https://youtu.be/gWuC-tcV3Gg You can find all kinds of fun stuff online to help with the process.
