SIG YALE II
Student Activities Central
Dear parents and friends,
The past week at Yale has been a busy one! We ended Week I with SIG's very own game show, the Brain Bowl, as well as, our trip to the Connecticut Science Center and Westfarms Mall. Sunday saw students' creativity come out in full force as they dressed their counselors up for Project Runway: SIG Edition, and we ended the day with an engrossing performance by the Jabali African Acrobats.
Monday's evening activity was a counselor activity night: groups made chocolate covered cherries, had water balloon fights, played Ultimate Frisbee, and even indulged in a bit of local frozen yogurt. On Tuesday students competed in Minute to Win It, a series of events ranging from keeping three inflated balloons in the air at the same time to trying to catch ping pong balls on lint rollers. Wednesday was an extended Rec Activity Night, where students were able to have an extra hour of recreation before evening tutorial.
Looking ahead, tonight is our first Evening Dance, featuring a guest DJ set by one of our students. A movie will be playing for those students who would rather not dance. Tomorrow morning features our long-awaited trip to Six Flags, and Sunday is Parent Visitation Day.
