CMS Middle School Meeting for 5th Grade Parents
Concord Magnet is sponsoring a Middle School Information Session on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 6:00 pm. This session is for current CMS 5th grade parents as well as for the Norwalk community. Come and learn about our middle school program, meet our staff and have your questions answered.
Earlier this week, all 5th grade parents received a letter from Mr. Thomas regarding Norwalk's Middle School Choice program. All Norwalk 5th grade parents must complete a form prioritizing their middle school choices. CMS students wishing to stay at CMS for middle school will receive priority but still must submit a form.

A Beautiful Send-Off!
Last Friday, CMS students and staff celebrated Nancy Stewart, 1st Grade Classroom Assistant on her last day at CMS! Nancy started at CMS 17 years ago as a 3rd Grade assistant and then moved to 1st Grade. At Friday's All School Meeting, students sang, shared fond memories, offered a top-ten list of retirement activities, and presented Nancy with heartfelt cards and flowers. Our program concluded with a serenade by Mr. T!
We'll miss you Nancy! Happy Retirement!

Covid, Flu A & B, and RSV Testing
Progressive Diagnostics offers a multiplex panel with COVID-19, Flu A&B and RSV at their Norwalk patient service center. It is one swab for all three tests and same-day results are available for all three. They accept all insurances, including Medicaid and Husky, and accept payment for those without insurance. A prescription from a healthcare provider is needed for this type of testing. If a prescription is not provided, Progressive Diagnostics will assist with contacting the healthcare provider when the patient comes for their appointment and it really should not delay the appointment. If they are not able to reach the patient’s healthcare provider when the patient is in the center, they will test the patient and keep trying to reach their provider after the patient leaves to make sure the order can be completed. As long as they have their provider’s information they should be able to assist.
