Facts About Rainbow Falls
The location of Rainbow Falls is in Mammoth, California and it is part of the Middle Fork San Joaquin River. The falls is 101 ft. tall from ground point. The falls only allows access to people and animals to be around the falls. The distance of the falls is 2.4 miles long also the elevation is 7700 ft. above sea level. Rainbow Falls is only open in June through September.

Fun facts
Established in 1911 by presidential proclamation, Devils Postpile National Monument protects and also preserves the Devils Postpile formation, the 101-foot high Rainbow Falls, and pristine mountain scenery. The formation is a rare sight in the geologic world and ranks as one of the world's finest examples of columnar basalt. Its columns tower 60 feet high and the tower also display an unusual symmetry.
