Specials Teachers and Collab in Teams to discuss RtI needs and the info sent out about moving forward with our focus areas for Enrichment. Discuss any other needs as well.
Sped Teachers will meet on their own regarding their needs.
Staff Recognition
Shout out to Stephanie Orscheln for taking on her role outside of her expertise of Speech. Mrs. Orscheln has been working during our RtI time with our 3rd grade Enrichment students. She takes on each skill and makes it a new endeavor for these students. She was recently excited by a 3rd grade student's idea to take their house plans, and ask Mrs. Doss to have them created on a 3-D printer to actually see what their house would look like. What a great idea!! We have reached out to MATC, and the plans are in the works for Mrs. Orscheln and Mr. Heimann's RtI Enrichment students to take a trip over and see this process, and learn about house plans and blueprints with the 3-D printer! Love it!! Way to go Mrs. Orscheln and her kiddos!!
Nora Ridgeway works with Mrs. O'Brien and the students in her room, but her reach of influence goes much further. She as well as several of our other ladies at dismissal, have worked with one of our students that gets to the gym early each day to assist them with opening doors and calling out names for dismissal. When I visited with the student about this job, his face lit up and he told me it was the best job he gets all day here. ;) He loves to get to be in charge of those doors! I loved seeing Mrs. Ridgeway interact with him while waiting along with the other ladies, and allowing his end of the day to look like what he needed. Kuddos for doing what our kids need. This is a time that could be hard, but has been made something he looks forward to, even when he has to wait.
We appreciate how each of you take time to know our kids and make their day special!!
Remember: Park in your special spot of honor next week!!
