TEACHING AND PROMOTING EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN SCHOOLS
In May 2021, Governor Reynolds signed into law HF 802 a bill related to diversity and inclusion training for employees and students. This FAQ document is designed to provide districts with additional insight on how districts can provide meaningful training and curriculum on equity, diversity and inclusion that operates within the boundaries of new and existing laws.
MEAL PRICES AND FREE AND REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION
CCA CSD is able to provide FREE meals to all students for the 21-22 school year. USDA has approved Nationwide waivers for the 21-22 school year that allow all students to have breakfast and lunch at no charge. Second meals will be charged to the student's account at the adult price.
A la carte purchases are not included in any free meal program. Milk is an a la carte item if purchased separate from a meal. The cost of a milk is $.35 for all students regardless of their eligibility for free or reduced meals. Middle and High School students are offered a variety of “a la carte” and vending machine items for breakfast and lunch. These items are available and priced the same for all students. If a student is eligible for free or reduced meals and would like to purchase a la carte items, money may be deposited in their meal account to cover these purchases.
FREE AND REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION
To be considered for eligibility, families must complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application annually.
WOMEN'S EQUALITY DAY
Although the 19th Amendment granted women the right to vote, the 19th Amendment was only the beginning of a much longer fight for many women.
FUTURE FACILITY PLANNING - MANAGING GROWTH
The District has already enrolled 220 new students for the 2021-2022 school year and has consistently added new students annually as forecasted by RSP Associates.
CCA BASEBALL FIELD UPDATE
CCA is in the process of a complete renovation of the outfield of the baseball venue.
The First step included a full spectrum kill of any undesirable grass that were occupying the outfield to eliminate the chance of any of it returning.
Fencing has been removed to allow room for the removal of the warning track material and old grass surface.
The surface will be laser graded to provide a safe and improved playing field along with proper drainage of the venue. An irrigation system will be installed for proper watering of the new grass outfield.
All new fencing for the outfield and foul territory will be installed and seeding will be done on the completed grade and will be ready for play starting the 2022 season!
The infield has had recent upgrades and will stay unchanged during this construction phase.
