Cyberbullying on the Rise
Cyberbullies' actions can have a greater and longer lasting effect than traditional physical bullying. Cyberbullying has quickly become a serious problem among children from elementary through high school. Cyberbullying leverages tools that students use most often to communicate among themselves and has increased because these tools are convenient and often free of adult oversight. They also provide the means to inflict immediate, devastating harm on the bully's target. That's because the bully's message can be transmitted to and accessed by anyone in seconds, and traditional school safeguards are often ineffective. Even if a few students participate in cyberbullying, it only takes one to do serious harm. Students who are cyberbullied are more likely to:
- Use alcohol and drugs.
- Skip school.
- Experience in-person bullying.
- Be unwilling to attend school.
- Receive poor grades.
- Have lower self-esteem.

The schedule of dates and locations, directions on scheduling an online appointment, Flu Vaccination form, and the PEEHIP form to take to your own doctor are all attached.
Insurance Representatives
Insurance representatives will be in our schools beginning Sept. 9, 2019 through Sept. 20, 2019. These representatives are from companies that already have payroll deduction slots with our school system.
Please be aware that you are not required to meet with anyone unless you want to do so. You also don’t have to sign anything that you decline their coverage.
The only paperwork that you are required to sign is with American Fidelity (Carter Ledgewood). American Fidelity administers our Cafeteria Plan. In order for us to have tax sheltered benefits such as PEEHIP, and a few other deductions, we have to each sign the election forms. Mr. Ledgewood will be in the schools beginning Sept. 23, 2019 through approximately November 1, 2019.
