PA1 HS Updates
Week of 2/13-2/17
Greetings Promise Academy I HS Parents!
The Promise Academy 1 HS team hopes all our families had a safe and warm weekend!
In this newsletter you will find important dates and reminders for this upcoming week.
As a reminder, there is no school from February 17th through Friday the 24th. School will resume on Monday, February 27th.
Senior Parents
Please encourage our scholars to complete the HCZ internal scholarships. They have been working hard with the college team but it does require help on your end as well. Please stay up to date with their scholarships and push them to apply to as many external scholarships possible. Free money for education is always a good thing! :)
Report Cards
Parents, please coordinate with your child's counselor to pick up the report card. We have quite a lot of report cards in our possession. We are already in week 2 of the brand new marking period (MP4). Please make sure you stay up to date with your child's progress.

Attendance- Striving for 100%
Please be mindful with our agency-wide attendance policy. I thank all parents who have come in for attendance meetings and working with the school team to create an action plan to improve their child's attendance.
Please encourage your child(children) to leave the house earlier so that they are in school no later than 7:50 am. Thank you in advance!

Staff Shoutouts!!!
Shoutout to Ms. McKnight for working hard with NHS and SGA. They have set up multiple community service events within our high school, lower and upper elementary for the upcoming week. Thank you for coming in last weekend with the kids to help them decorate our halls for Black History Month. Appreciate everything you do Ms. McKnight.
Shoutout to Ms. Rademaker for her hard work and commitment. Ms. Rademaker stayed late Monday night to greet parents who came in to pick up report cards. She then woke up the next day, extra early to join HCZ in Albany for the annual Charter School Advocacy Day. She was up and running on Wednesday with a smile on her face. We appreciate you Ms. Rademaker!
