Meet Our New 2nd Grade Teacher - Mrs. Bhaile

Hello, Eagles!!

I'm so excited to meet you! My name is Ms. Bhaile (pronounced Bailey) and I get to come and be a part of the Eagle family. I can hardly wait to learn all about you and what makes being an Eagle so great!

Here's a little about me. I have been a teacher for about 20 years. I love teaching and reading. I am a nerd or a geek, depending on your definition. I love Science Fiction and Star Trek. I have two grown children who are not moving with me. Oh, and I don't speak Southern. I hope you won't hold that against me.

August 2nd isn't all that far away. I have a lot to do before then. You have a lot of vacation to get in. I can hardly wait to meet you!

What is Title I?

Title provides financial assistance to schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. If a Title I school is operating a targeted assistance program, the school provides Title I services to children who are failing, or most at risk of failing, to meet challenging State academic standards. Schools in which children from low-income families make up at least 40 percent of enrollment are eligible to use Title I funds to operate schoolwide programs that serve all children in the school in order to raise the achievement of the lowest-achieving students.

This information was found at https://www2.ed.gov/programs/titleiparta/index.html.

Click on the hyperlink in the title above to access the 2021-2022 WGE Title I Needs assessment for WGE. The needs assessment shares the data that was used to determine how to allocate the Title I funds for the upcoming school year. It provides the foundation for the development of the Title I plan. Thank you to the Community/Family Involvement team (Title I) and some of WGE parents that met several times at the end of the school year to review the Title I Spring Survey and data to prioritize the needs for the school. Thank you to Mr. Jackson for sticking with the process. As a result of their efforts, the Title I plan was drafted. The plan has been submitted to the district. The district will submit to the state. Once the Title I plan is approved, it will be posted for all stakeholders to review.
