Teacher Work Day
For Your Information & Action
- All teachers on one-year plans should schedule a formative meeting with Kristen (email Alesia to schedule).
- All teachers on two-year plans (whether you are in the first or second year of the plan) can meet with Lauren or Mark for a mid-year check-in, but this is not mandatory. If you would like to schedule a meeting, email Alesia (for Lauren) or Sue (for Mark).
Teacher Pages on the HRHS Website: If you are interested in learning how to create a teacher page for the new website, Kim will be holding a workshop on January 18 from 9:30am-11am. Please RSVP to Kim by Wednesday, Jan 16.
Technology: If you have technology assigned to you, you must lock it up before you leave for the night. We've had technology stolen from the school this year, and we need to avoid this happening in the future.
Testing:
- ACCESS testing will be happening Jan. 30 and 31. Makeups will be Feb. 1. If any of your students are affected by this, you should have already gotten a separate email.
- The spring testing calendar is linked here.
Advisory Resources
Staff Shout Outs!
Thank you to Christy Parent for your constant support and encouragement for a student who will be taking MCAS for the first time.
Responsibility and Perseverance:
- Thank you to Dana Doolittle for holding students accountable!
- Natalie Levreault and her 9th grade classes have worked tirelessly since August on a grant through Fuel Up to Play 60. HRHS has finally been awarded a $4000 grant through FUTP60 to get a salad bar in the cafeteria here at HRHS! Natalie has been working on this for the better part of a decade and it has finally come to fruition! Congratulations!
- Thank you to everyone who has made an effort to be in the hallways before homeroom and during transitions. It has made a noticeable impact! Shout out to our raffle winners, Warren Smith and Elizabeth Ramirez!
Collaboration and Engagement:
- Thank you to Sue Tracy and Sarah Pietrzak for participating in a thoughtful and productive meeting with a family.
- Scott Gove did an awesome lesson in Geoff Casey's Practical Law class on Thursday. He taught students about fingerprinting and had them practice lifting fingerprints from various surfaces in the classroom. Thanks Scott!
- Thank you to Grayson Dewitt and the Academic Society for organizing the blood drive through the American Red Cross last week! Students were well-organized and welcoming throughout the entire event.
Respect and Compassion:
- Shout out to John Plourd who is always working with our students to be positive and respectful fans at athletic events.
