Parent Coalition Mission

Great Start is Michigan's Statewide initiative that participates in the coordination and promotion of early childhood development to ensure that every child is safe, healthy, and ready to succeed in school and life.

A part of this initiative the Parent Coalition provides networking opportunties for parents and caregivers to provide valuable input and assist in carrying out the goals of the Delta-Schoolcraft Great Start Collaborative. Together we work to increase parent participation in early childhood planning and decision-making by serving as a "voice" for parents in Schoolcraft County. Parental involvement is essential to strengthening the State's committment to our young children. Our children our the future and a valuable investment that needs support and protection.
