The first day of school for students will be Wednesday, August 23, and will be a full day of school.
We look forward to seeing everyone in August! In the meantime, please have a safe and enjoyable summer.

A couple of highlights from our end-of-year assembly included our Citizenship Awards and our Presidential Awards.
The Citizenship awards will went two students, one boy and one girl, from each classroom. These students are hard-working, maintain solid academics, get involved in various activities, show a positive attitude toward classmates and adults alike, demonstrate responsibility, and display kindness on a regular basis. The work they do, the kindness they show, and the positive impact that they have within the classroom really make a difference.

The Presidential Award of Excellence is an award that can't be earned in one moment or even in one year. In order to receive this, students must earn and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average during fourth, fifth, and sixth grade, and they must test into at least the 85th percentile or higher on numerous nationally-normed reading and math assessments. This award is also accompanied by a letter from the President of the United States.

Our end-of-day assembly had two different activities taking place-- Mrs. Barnick being taped to the wall and Mrs. Fulton taking a pie to the face. Both of these were tied to a PTA fundraiser that took place earlier this year. Thanks for being such great sports!
