A Message from Mrs. Caudill
Some of our students are hearing a lot about coronavirus, particularly our older students. They don't understand much about it, and what they don't know they are filling in themselves with interesting and creative results.
This link below was recommended as something to share with students. It's factual, not scary, and it reinforces all those common sense actions like handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when ill that are things we should do to protect ourselves and others from a variety of germs. Please review this information and consider whether this is something you would like to share with your child. We believe parents of students grades 3 - 5 will find it helpful.
Additionally, if your children are sick with vomiting or diarrhea, please keep them home for 24 hours after the last episode. If your child has had a fever, they need to be home for 24 hours after their temperature returns to normal without use of Tylenol or Motrin. Thanks for helping us keep our bobcats healthy!

St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Grams!
St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Grams Bring a smile to a student’s face, while also making a donation to the Michigan Humane Society. All it takes is $0.50 and a few moments of your time!
Once again, we’ll be organizing Lucky Grams at Amerman this year. If you are interested in surprising a deserving student with a Lucky Gram, see below.
- First, write a message for each student to whom you’d like to send a Lucky Gram. Include the student name, his or her teacher, who the Lucky Gram is from and a short message. (See next page for forms.)
- Include $0.50 for each Lucky Gram message.
- Send in the money and messages to school in an envelope or Ziploc bag, labeled “Lucky Grams,” by Thursday, March 12th.
This year, students will have an opportunity to purchase Lucky Grams for their classmates and friends during their lunch. More information about this will be on the Amerman Announcements.
On March 17th, Lucky Grams will be delivered, along with a special nonedible treat, to each classroom. Thank you, so much, for helping us with this fundraiser and for your support!

March’s Focus: Trustworthy! Habit 6: Synergize!
Every month Amerman Focuses on a new theme and Leader in Me Habit of the Month. The focus for the month of March is Trustworthiness and our Habit of the Month is Habit 6: Synergize.
Synergy means "two heads are better than one." Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. But it doesn't just happen on its own. It's a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table. Together, they can produce far better results that they could individually. Synergy lets us discover jointly things we are much less likely to discover by ourselves.
If you would like to recognize your child for displaying trustworthiness or using Habit 6: Synergize at home, please fill out the following Bobcat Boost and return it to your child's teacher.
