The Gamification of Education
Students today thrive on playing video games, online simulations and creating virtual worlds. Students who don't seem to be able to concentrate in school have no problems focusing for long periods of time on games. In this session, we will explore how to use elements of gaming in the classroom. We will look at new ways to motivate kids through role playing, cooperation, strategy challenges and a little competition. Many facets of a gaming environment don't even use a computer, however some online tools will be used to help you transform your classroom into the place all students can't wait to get to every morning!
