Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
June 3rd, 2022
We enjoyed a fun-filled week at the Lab. We started the week off with our first Sports Day in 3 years! The students had a blast and did an excellent job with sportsmanship and engagement. What a fun-filled day! Many kudos to Mr. Bruns for his organization, preparing the students well, and thoughtful additions of shade and water options (hose, sprinkler, lots of water breaks), to keep things fun on a hot day. A huge thank you also to our volunteers who ran the stations and made it possible for our teachers to support their students and have fun themselves. What a gift this day was!
Looking ahead to next week, we have Primary Sports Day on the afternoon of June 7th. Please see reminders for Sports Day below. That day we also have our in-school performance for KG, 3rd and 4th graders by our 5th grade music students in the morning, and our evening concert at 7:00pm. It will be a fantastic day at Lutherville Lab!
And a reminder that on Thursday June 9th we have our Spring Food Truck Night! We are so excited for another great community event. If you haven't seen already, the PTA is looking for a few good volunteers to support the event. We also have our Grade Level Picnics beginning next week. Details are coming from classroom teachers.
Looking ahead to the summer, BCPS will be offering the Summer Learning Hike as an option for students again. This self-paced skill reinforcement is available to all BCPS students. More information is in an attached flyer. In past Lab Reports we've also shared opportunities for softball and track camp as summer enrichment opportunities.

Spring Events Protocol
To help expedite the sign-in process, we have some options:
1) Provide your license information via this form and we can enter your information in advance and have a badge ready for you for the event.
2) Come to school in advance of the event and have your license scanned by the Raptor system.
3) If you have already come to school and had your license scanned this year, we can print the badge for you. Just complete the form to let us know when you're coming.
4) Come early on the day you wish to visit, because there will likely be a glut just before the event.
We don't want anyone to miss the beginning of any of these events, if possible, so please take one of these steps to help us all enjoy these events smoothly.

Lutherville Lab Going Forward
To ensure that we gather input, we have created this survey to gather insight from parents and staff. We will then gather a group of staff and community members to theme responses and update our mission, vision, and values to better capture who we are and set our course ahead. If you have interest in participating in that process, please submit your name through the survey. We will meet over the summer.
Thanks in advance for taking a few minutes to share with us what makes you proud of Lutherville Lab, what you see as the purpose for our work, and what you'd like for us to be known for in the future.
