Week at a glance: April 12 - 16
Construction projects completed at Leyden
Just one week before the pandemic forced school closures, Leyden students and staff walked the halls of newly renovated and constructed sections at both East and West.
In February 2021, nearly one year later, the lights came back on in classrooms and students walked the hallways again. It was a new beginning in so many ways, and in terms of our new facilities, it was a long-overdue debut.

Graduates
Exciting news comes from South Bend, IN where 2009 East Leyden alumnus Mark Albin (formerly Mark Kosten) prepares for the debut of the online musical, Ragtime. Albin, a native of Franklin Park, moved to South Bend in 2014 with his husband, where they now own and run South Bend's only professional theatre company, Art 4. Typically dedicated to live performances, Art 4 pivoted to online content in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and is leading the industry during this difficult time. Ragtime, a Tony Award-winning show that discusses the topics of racism, immigration, and women's rights, performs online on select dates April 16-May 2.
