ADL Charger News
February 19, 2021
Dear Families,
First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to PAWS for the special staff breakfast this week. We are so grateful for your kindness!
Students, staff, and families shifted gears once again this week as we pivoted to our first virtual learning "snow day." Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to adjust routines to support our students and continue their learning throughout this pandemic.
School may look different this year, but what remains the same is our commitment to creating a safe space and inspiring learning experiences for our students. For a window into some of the learning experiences students have been engaging in this winter, check out the links below.
I am wishing all of our Chargers a safe and healthy winter break.
Sincerely,
Jen Wood
Winter Learning Happenings
- 8th grade Team Nova students created and shared outstanding art projects as part of a cross-curricular collaboration between Mrs. Logan and Ms. McGrath.
- 7th graders on Team Alchemy are gaining new technology skills as they learn about podcasting and democracy with Mr. Torrez and Ms. Eldridge through the Team Alchemy Podcast Project.
- In World Language classes, our 6th grade students learned about Mardi Gras/Carnival, made different kind of masks than the ones we have been wearing throughout this school year, and put together this virtual parade which includes jazz music played by some of our talented ADL band members!
