To Begin With
As we all know, humans have been on earth for a fair amount of time. But have you ever noticed the toll that we are taking on the environment? There are both good things and bad things that are a result of the presence of humans.
Smokers
The impact smokers have on the environment is detrimental. For one, the smoke pollutes the air. The polluted air contributes to the hole in the ozone layer which is thinning slowly but surely. Also, there are a lot of people that leave their cigarettes on the beach, in the grass, and on the ground. Animals could find them, eat them, and possibly die, only because some human was irresponsible and disposed of their cigarettes improperly.
Factories
Although factories are a good source on nonhuman resources, they are terrible for the environment. To begin with, factories take up a lot of space. They are usually developed where there has been no actual development in the past few years. That takes away from the amount of CO2 being converted because you have to cut down trees. Secondly, factories produce a lot of smoke, which can harm the environment in more ways than one. Lastly, hot water is dumped into cool water in a river, lake, pond or bay. The difference in temperatures can promote algae growth and cause disruptions to the fish and other water wildlife.
Hunting
Hunting has a large effect on the ecosystem. First off, excessive hunting is the reason that many animal species are extinct. Also, hunting distort the eco system because there may be a lack of predators/prey because they have all been killed off by the result of hunting.
