NSCAS Summative Testing Parent Resources
It is almost time for NSCAS Summative testing! Please see the resources below that are provided by the Nebraska Department of Education to learn more about the assessment and to access practice materials.
The NSCAS Summative test administration window is March 22-April 30, 2021 for grades 3-8. This spring, a shorter test (the NSCAS Phase I Pilot) will be administered for ELA and mathematics in lieu of the NSCAS General Summative. In addition, instead of the NSCAS General Summative for science, a census field test for Nebraska's College and Career Ready Standards for Science will be administered in grades 5 and 8. Due to this being a pilot year for assessments and the unique challenges of the 2020-21 school year, the state has not currently communicated a plan for public reporting of results. Please note that there may not be individual student reports (ISRs) for parents for the pilot assessment and the field test.
