Second Grade Happenings
February 5, 2016
There was a lot going on in 2nd grade this week. First, thank you to Mrs. VanNatter and Mrs. Carroll for host our Valentine's Party. The game and craft were a huge success and students definitely had a lot of fun!
Thank you to all the parents who came to view their child's books at our 2nd Grade Author Night. Students uploaded their their books to their Seesaw journal. If you didn't get a chance to attend Author Night or would like a second look at their book, you can view it there. The formatting didn't sync perfectly however. I'll work on fixing that glitch.
If you haven't enrolled to to view your child's Seesaw learning journal, you are missing out! It's completely private -- only you can see your child's journal outside of class. Click on https://app.seesaw.me/s/301-699-757 to sign up -- it takes just 30 seconds. Once you sign up, you can download the Seesaw Parent app for iPhone or Android, or access your child's journal on the web. I will then approve your access so that it matches your child's account. This is a great way to communicate with your child about their learning.
If you would like to volunteer in our classroom during the months of February or March, please use the Sign Up Genius link. If these times aren't convenient, let me know what is convenient for you and we can schedule a time for you to help out.
