Universal Screeners for Behavior

Using data to identify students early that may need behavioral support is a critical component of a PBIS framework. This session will discuss how to use universal screening for behavior to help identify students with both externalizing and internalizing behaviors. Logistics of how to screen and what to do once students are identified as needing support will be discussed highlighting strategies for all three tiers of support. Various behavior screeners will be shared along with questions for districts and schools to consider when choosing an appropriate screener for their own context.
Intended Audience: K-12 General Education, Special Education Teachers, Behavior Specialists, Administrators PBIS Coaches, and Team Members
Educators who work for LEAs in the AIU3 region will have priority registration.

- Act 48 credit is available
