PIN NUMBER
A pin number (personal identification number) is used by all computer users to gain access to their own system. In addition, it also prevents other users to gain access to the system they don't own. When signing up to a system, the person is required to furnish a disclosed User ID and a confidential PIN. A user can only access the system if he enters the correct user ID and the matching PIN.
Pins are usually 4-12 digits long (depending on the country.)
BIOMETRIC SCANNERS
ENCRYPTION
Encryption is the conversion of electronic data into another form, called cipher text, which cannot be easily understood by anyone except authorized parties. In other words the data is scrambled in such a way that it can only be read using the secret code. Nowadays, we often encounter it when shopping online using credit cards. Also it is used to download music and DVDs.
The original message is scrambled using the advanced mathematics, and the receiving computer has the digital key to work out the message.
