Meet Your Teachers
Mrs. Mozisek (Mrs. Mo) - Reading and Science
Welcome to fourth grade! Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! It is going to be a year full of fun, learning, lots of adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! This is my 10th year of teaching. I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and 7th grade.
I grew up in Elgin, Texas. I went to Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education. I am married to my wonderful husband, Brad and we have two daughters, Addy is 4 and Lelia is 2.
Parents, I am truly excited to have your child in class this year! I am also looking forward to working with you, their parent, to ensure that your child is successful throughout the school year!

Ms. Smalling: Writing and Texas History
This is my 6th year at MDE, my 13th year teaching, and I have taught every subject in 4th grade. This year is special because I get to focus specifically on my two favorite subjects; writing and Texas History.
When I am not at school, I like to travel, read and spend time with my family. I have a daughter, Emma, who is in 5th grade and two fur-babies, Cooper and Baron.
Since we will always be writing and sharing together , you may get to hear some stories of my adventures.

Here’s how to request your books!
1. Access Destiny Discover (our catalog) at: https://search.follettsoftware.com/metasearch/ui/55986
2. View the video with directions on how to put a book on hold: https://youtu.be/IZoDKnb12wg
3. Log on, find a book and put it on hold.
4. Wait for an email from Mrs. Veenhuyzen letting you know your books are ready. Books will be available to pick up in the teacher parking lot on the east side of the building, outside the external library door. To keep the books safe, they will only be available for pick-up during regular school hours.
