The Basics
Located in the middle of South America, Paraguay has a subtropical to temperate climate. The eastern area of the country receives a lot of rain, while the western area is semiarid and has little rainfall. Paraguay is landlocked by Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil, and the Paraguay River divides the country into western and eastern sections.
How to Fit In
The two main languages in Paraguay are Spanish and Guarani. Marriage is not arranged in this country, and men hold the formal authority in marriages, and the women will care for the children. In formal situations, men will greet each other using handshakes.

In Paraguay, Roman Catholics and Protestants are the two main subcultures, making up 89.6% and 6.2% of the population, respectively. Corn, mandioca, and beef make up the basic diet.
