Collaborative Instruction Highlights

NESA Art teacher Mrs. Gonzales challenged her freshmen Design Theory students to conceptualize and develop a flyer to publicize Holocaust survivor Mrs. Rose Sherman Williams's author visit to LEE High School. NESA students looked to the Bauhaus art movement (which originated in Germany) for inspiration as they designed flyers to promote the event (coordinated by the LEE Library) on January 8, 2020 at 7 PM. Pictured are just a few of the incredible flyers.

Coming in January

Mrs. Rose Sherman Williams (a Holocaust survivor) is scheduled to speak to LEE & ISA students, their parents, and faculty members on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 7 PM in the LEE HS auditorium. Cluster middle school students and their families are also welcome to attend. Mrs. Williams will speak about her experiences that are outlined in her book Letters to Rose. At the conclusion of her presentation, her book Letters to Rose (co-authored with former Johnson HS teacher Robin Philbrick) will be available for purchase ($27/hardcover and $16.23/paperback – check, cash, or cc accepted). Mrs. Williams has graciously agreed to sign copies of her book at this time.

Happy Holidays

As 2019 draws to a close, it's time to reflect on the events of this past year. A huge thank you to teachers that co-conducted classes in the library and gave their students an opportunity to check out books. Also, thank you to the LEE High School administrators who support the library in countless ways. Finally, to all of the students who patronize the library and promote its use to their friends, we look forward to serving you in 2020!
