Santiago's PE Department is thrilled to bring back Decathlon this year! What is Decathlon? Decathlon is the highly anticipated annual PE competition that is held for both 7th and 8th grade students. Athletes work hard all year to earn qualifying scores in a variety of physical fitness activities. In May, if their scores qualify, they are invited to compete in the Decathlon where they will participate in all of the events in one day!

Athlete participants will be announced at a short assembly at the end of the day on 5/17, will compete all day on 5/18, and the winners will be announced at a short assembly at the end of the day on 5/19.

Congratulations to our Decathlon students!

SBAC TESTING

On Monday, May 2, 2022, ALL Santanas began taking the SBAC exams. Due to COVID, students have not had to take these assessments for a couple of years, so it will be an adjustment for us all. Students will be testing within their academic classes, so there will be no schedule modifications to the school day. Please review the details below, and let us know if you have any questions!

  • Week of May 16-20: Science Test for 8th grade students ONLY taken in Science classes.
  • Week of May 23-27: Make-Up Testing

All students should remember how important it is to eat a healthy breakfast each day! This gives you the proper energy you need to stay focused and feel successful.

Please remember to bring your charger for your school device so that your battery does not die during the day.

Please remember to bring headphones that PLUG-IN to your device. Wireless headphones won't properly work during SBAC testing.

We thank you for your efforts with supporting your student and our campus by helping to reinforce this information with your Santana.

Thank you!
