Important Notes
- Our enrollment continues to grow at Manatee, we are currently at 1018 students. At times there are several hundred children in the hallways, moving to activity or lunch. Please be mindful of the classes going to lunch and give them the right away. Our lunch schedule is tight, with no wiggle room between classes and we need to ensure that every two minutes, a class is coming in. Thanks for your help on this!
- Erin Moss will be taking a leave to care for her new daughter, beginning Monday. Shannon Watkins will be doing her short term leave.
CMA Groups:
- Look for an email from Mrs. Carver regarding your CMA group.
- March 2-5th we will finalize the groups. DON'T GO INTO PROGO YET! We want to be sure everyone knows what group they are in and work out the bugs before anyone adds a teammate in PROGO.
- Friday, March 6, score your CMA group in ProGo. All teachers new to Manatee will meet in the library at 1:45 pm for an "open lab" assistance with this process by the APs. If you are a veteran at Manatee but have a questions or need assistance, feel free to come. All CMA scoring needs to be completed on March 6th.
Take Action:
We need a status update on your conference logs. Just a reminder, you were given a class list at the beginning of the year to record the date you had conferences with your families. The goal is to meet with 90% by the end of the year. Please turn in a copy (if you used a different class list, no problem) even if you have not yet met the goal. Turn these in to Michelle by March 9th.

To prevent unsupervised students in the building before school, we are making some changes to the way the students enter the building.
Bus riders:
· Students who want breakfast must eat breakfast when they enter the building. After they exit the building to the pavillon, they may not reenter until the bell.
Car riders:
· May go to breakfast or get a snack pack when they enter. Once they exit the building to the pavillon, they may not reenter until the bell.
Walkers/Bikers:
· After parking their bikes, students who want breakfast (or students getting extra help from their teacher before school) will walk down the front of the side walk (in front of the school), enter through the front doors and proceed to breakfast or tutoring.
· Students in grades k-2 who are not going to morning mile, will walk down the front of the sidewalk and enter through the front doors. They will go to the cafeteria.
· Students who do not fall into that category may go to their grade level location.
Pavilion:
· Students will not be allowed to enter through the pavilion doors until the 7:50 bell for any reason.
· If a student would like a snack pack, they may get one after the 7:50 bell. A snack pack cart is usually available in the pavilion.
Summary-Once students get to the pavillon....they stay there. No more roaming the halls. If students bike and want breakfast from the cafeteria, they walk down the sidewalk in front of the school, not down the 2nd grade hallway.
