Every Day Counts at CES
This holiday season, the best gift you can give your child is a good education. And the best place to get an education is in school. It’s tempting to extend your vacation by a few days, but remember, those days count as absences. Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time. So make sure your child is in school every day, right up until vacation starts. Our teachers will be teaching, and our students will be learning.
We love to recognize classrooms who achieve perfect attendance. Each day a class has perfect attendance they add a letter to spell out PERFECT ATTENDANCE. Students earn a class party when they have accomplished this goal.
This month we were happy to recognize the following classes for PERFECT ATTENDANCE:
Mrs. Shultz
Ms. Hillis
Kindergarten- Ms. Kanofsky, Mrs. McMaster, and Mrs. Delmar
First Grade- Mrs. Alison (twice),Mrs. Dalto, Mrs. Klingbeil, and Mrs. Robinson
Second Grade- Mrs. Delaney, Mr. Potter, Mrs. Tucker, and Mrs. Whitcomb (twice)
Third Grade- Mrs. Bedell (twice), Mrs. Hehl, Ms. Parrish, and Mrs. Watkins
Fourth Grade- Mr. Deso, Mrs. Fuller, and Mr. Sprague
Fifth Grde- Mr. Beaudet, Mr. Fedor, Mrs. Lefebre, and Mr. Brennan

Can Tab Update
Our can tab collection is growing! So far, we have collected approximately 244,000 tabs.
There will be a pizza party for the class in the lead in January. Right now Mrs. Lefebre’s class is in the lead with 30 buckets of tabs! Keep sending the tabs in – they will be brought to the Ronald McDonald House where they receive money for them to use for families with sick children. Thank you to all who send the tabs in for this wonderful cause.
School Banking
To open an HRCCU Youth Savings Account and begin participating in the CES School Banking Program, please stop by the Palmer Avenue HRCCU Branch during regular business hours. Please bring the child’s Birth Certificate and Social Security Card and a current photo id (for the parent or guardian opening the account) with you. For more information on HRCCU Youth Savings Accounts, please visit: hrccu.org/savings/savings-accounts/youth-savings/.
