Corinth Elementary School

PBIS Assembly, November 2019

Last month teachers were excited to recognize students who demonstrated gratitude throughout the month of November. We also showed our appreciation for Corinth Community Cupboard Food Pantry for all of their generosity in helping our families and community members. For the month of December teachers will be looking to nominate students who demonstrate exceptional leadership within the classroom and school. Congratulations to all of our gratitude recipients!

Every Day Counts at CES

This holiday season, the best gift you can give your child is a good education. And the best place to get an education is in school. It’s tempting to extend your vacation by a few days, but remember, those days count as absences. Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time. So make sure your child is in school every day, right up until vacation starts. Our teachers will be teaching, and our students will be learning.

We love to recognize classrooms who achieve perfect attendance. Each day a class has perfect attendance they add a letter to spell out PERFECT ATTENDANCE. Students earn a class party when they have accomplished this goal.

This month we were happy to recognize the following classes for PERFECT ATTENDANCE:

Mrs. Shultz

Ms. Hillis

Kindergarten- Ms. Kanofsky, Mrs. McMaster, and Mrs. Delmar

First Grade- Mrs. Alison (twice),Mrs. Dalto, Mrs. Klingbeil, and Mrs. Robinson

Second Grade- Mrs. Delaney, Mr. Potter, Mrs. Tucker, and Mrs. Whitcomb (twice)

Third Grade- Mrs. Bedell (twice), Mrs. Hehl, Ms. Parrish, and Mrs. Watkins

Fourth Grade- Mr. Deso, Mrs. Fuller, and Mr. Sprague

Fifth Grde- Mr. Beaudet, Mr. Fedor, Mrs. Lefebre, and Mr. Brennan

School Bus Safety

Please remind your child of school bus safety and the importance of staying seated and facing the front at all times. This is especially important as we head into the winter months.

Thank You!

We would like to thank our PTSA and all of the families that helped to make our fall fundraiser a success. Our students benefit from this in many ways including Arts-In-Ed programs, classroom grants, equipment purchases, and a host of other activities sponsored by our PTSA.

Can Tab Update

Our can tab collection is growing! So far, we have collected approximately 244,000 tabs.

There will be a pizza party for the class in the lead in January. Right now Mrs. Lefebre’s class is in the lead with 30 buckets of tabs! Keep sending the tabs in – they will be brought to the Ronald McDonald House where they receive money for them to use for families with sick children. Thank you to all who send the tabs in for this wonderful cause.

School Banking

Every Wednesday morning - when school is in session, Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) collects savings deposits from Corinth Elementary School Student Bankers. The HRCCU Youth Savings Account only requires a $5 deposit to open, earns dividends on deposits made, and is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

To open an HRCCU Youth Savings Account and begin participating in the CES School Banking Program, please stop by the Palmer Avenue HRCCU Branch during regular business hours. Please bring the child’s Birth Certificate and Social Security Card and a current photo id (for the parent or guardian opening the account) with you. For more information on HRCCU Youth Savings Accounts, please visit:

The PTSA will be hosting a Christmas Shop again this year. Students will be able to shop for friends and family at kid friendly prices. More information will follow later this month. Any parent interested in volunteering should contact the PTSA via Facebook or send in a note with your child, addressed to PTSA, and it will be put in our mailbox at school. The shop will run from December 16-19 at school.

Our next meeting will be on December 12th at 6:30 in the Elementary Cafeteria. Come and see what we are all about and how you can help at school.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Good Luck Coach Prendergast!

At the end of the month Coach Prendergast will leave CES to start a new job in local district. We thank him for being an awesome role model and coach for our students. Coach Griffin will be returning in January to fill the leave.
