Calling all 8th Grade Teams


Annual School Counselor Departmental Award

Seahorse Good Character Award


Please use the online google form to recommend an 8th grade student for this award. There will be four students chosen. The award will be given to the students during their completion ceremony. All 8th grade students will be considered for this award. Administration, School Counselors and Student Services will make the final decision on the choice. There will be one winner per a team.


Please submit recommendation forms by: May 15, 2015


The title “Seahorse Good Character Award” was chosen because the Seahorse symbolically

exhibits the following characteristics of the Seahorse:

Strong

Calm and Peaceful

Persistent

Resourceful

Friendly

Protective

Flexible



Guidlines:

1. 8th grade student who has demonstrated the capacity to put the feelings or needs of

others before those of their own.


2. The student has demonstrated the ability to look beyond the present towards the

success of their future.


3. The student has contributed to the betterment of their community be it classroom or the wider community at large.


4. The student has demonstrated the ability to balance academic success and personal

success.
