Please note: New information is in bold.
Summit Hotel
New info: All of our meetings take place at the hotel. Whole group sessions will take place in Belmont I&II. Breakout rooms will take place in Bellmont lll, Sully, and Piedmont.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport hotel.

Booking Travel & Accommodations
New Info: We recommend that you do not book a flight any earlier than 6:30pm. The shuttle will leave headquarters at 4pm and this will allow time for traffic and backups at security.
As you book travel for this event, please note that the Academic Leader Summit will officially kick off on Wednesday, June 8th with an opening presentation by Allison Cleveland. Please plan on arriving Tuesday evening, June 7th for a social prior to the summit kickoff. The Summit will conclude at 4pm on Thursday, June 9th. Feel free to schedule return flights on Thursday, June 9th after 6:30 PM EST. We will arrange for transportation to the airport as soon as we dismiss.
Airport
It is recommended that you fly into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) which is only a few miles from the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport Hotel. You can call the hotel for a shuttle when you arrive. Their phone number is 703-478-2900.
Entertainment News
- Please join us for a K12 Social from 7pm-8pm in the conference center lobby
- Will there be food at the Meet and Greet? If nourishment is at the top of your mind, we are serving Beer, Wine, and a non-alcoholic drink option along with light food, Mediterranean, Veggie, and Cheese Platters. The hotel restaurant will be open and serving food from their menu before and after the reception if you would like to have dinner, aside from the provided platters at the reception.
- Please come dressed casual and expect to meet up with the 5-6 people from across the nation who will be in your group during the course of the summit.
New Info: DC Tour with Reston Limo Service
- Please join us for a 4 hour tour of DC.
- Bring casual clothes and comfortable shoes because we are going to have a good time!
Food
- New info: Breakfast is included and the buffet will be a mix of American and Continental and you can expect yogurt, fruit, bagels, muffins, eggs, and bacon/Sausage.
- New Info: lunches will be catered and if you noted dietary restrictions on your registration, we will have a special meal waiting for you.
- New Info: A boxed lunch (beyond just a sandwich, fruit, and a cookie) will be provided as you board the Limo Service for a night on the town in DC.

Living the Leadership Simulation - Through a “Living the Leadership” simulation, summit participants will practice essential functions of instructional leadership by solving real life challenges alongside your peers for greater strategic thinking and decision-making practice.
