FAC Weekly Update
March 11, 2022
Good afternoon, Fine Arts Center Family
We hope you had a wonderful week! We are racing towards Spring Break, but first...we have three fantastic performances next week that you MUST see. We are able to have larger audiences in the Recital Hall, so please come out and support our students! And don't forget our Jazz All-Stars at Genevieve's next Wednesday.
Here is the latest from the halls of the Fine Arts Center...
This Week's Student Leadership Lesson
Making the Most of Our Mistakes
How to make the most of our mistakes:
First, stop fearing mistakes. Elbert Hubbard once said, 'the greatest mistake one can make in life is to be continually fearing that you will make one.' What are mistakes?
Messages that give us feedback about life.
Interruptions that should cause us to reflect and think.
Signposts that direct us to the right path, if we allow them.
Tests that are designed to make us mature.
Awakenings that keep us mentally in the game.
Keys that we try when unlocking the next door of opportunity.
Explorers that allow us to journey where we have never been before.
Statements about our development and progress.
Tallulah Bankhead may have said it best - 'If I had to live my life over, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner.'
