Last week we had our first successful playday. it was so fun to see the individuality and creativity of all of our students as we celebrated everyone for being safe, respectful and responsible. I cannot believe that we are entering the last week of September already!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to join me at the Facilities Master Plan committee meeting for our school on Thursday and provide valuable thoughts and input on what changes need to occur on our campus to make it a safe and innovative learning place for our students.

Field Elementary School's AAPC President, Samantha Turner, would like to invite interested families from Sierra Madre Elementary and Sierra Madre Middle School to attend their AAPC meeting this Wednesday, September 28th from 6pm-8pm. The meeting will be virtual. Please see the attached flier for details.

What do you do when you have a school FULL of talented kids? You throw a Talent Show, of course! That’s right, it’s talent show time here at SME. So if your kids like to sing, dance, tell jokes, play music, or just love to entertain, this is their chance to do it for a crowd of adoring friends and family. And parents, whether you are an entertainment professional or just somebody interested in lending a hand, we need volunteers to help bring this amazing show to life! The students of every participating family will receive a squishy mesh ball as a kid prize. Dr. Marchesso will start handing them out the week of Sept. 26.

It's not too late to donate! Our "All In For Fall" campaign goal runs until December, and our goal 100% family participation to ensure we have the staff and programs SME needs.
