Digital Resource Integration and Cataloging Update
We are in the process of filling our Digital Resource Integration Catalog Specialist position. At this time, please hold your cataloging requests until we fill this position. In the meantime, please prepare all of your resources by placing the barcode on all items and labeling them with a property stamp. Check to make sure your items are not in the system before sending them to the IDC. If they are in the system, and you are trained on copy cataloging, you may add your own items. If you have questions regarding cataloging, please contact Linda Conway.
MARC Record questions and downloads are currently being directed to Marci Milius.
Barcode printing requests are currently being directed to Francie Billings.

Star Lab Planetarium Training
On September 1, 2016, Dawn Baudek-Smith trained about a dozen teachers and librarians with our district on the proper set-up, use and take-down of our Star Lab Planetarium. The Star Lab is available for checking out through the IDC to trained educators and librarians only. For the Star Lab's availability, contact Francie Billings today!
Transformation of the Frontier Valley Library
Frontier Valley Elementary's new library space was transformed by Marci Milius and their staff over the summer. It is now designated as "Brain Space" offering many hands-on learning opportunities for students including a Lego wall, magnetic walls and a MakerSpace. Students, parents and teachers alike are excited by the changes. Teachers and students have been using this space to integrate the 4 C's, 21st Century skills, and content into their everyday learning.
